About Mission to Amish People

Since the establishment of MAP in February of 2000, Joe and Esther Keim (both formerly Amish) have traveled throughout the United States, presenting the ministry to hundreds of local churches. The goal of MAP is to pass the burden on to others so that they, too, can help reach the more than 275,000 Amish people throughout the US and Canada. Three Fold Purpose of MAP 1. Evangelize and disciple Amish and Former Amish people 2. Assist older teenagers and young adults who have already left the Amish culture 3. Expand MAP all over North America Why a Ministry to the Amish? Many have asked that question and, at times, well meaning people have become angry that a ministry such as Mission to Amish People would even exist. In the eyes of many, the Amish seem peaceful and separated from a world of murder and divorce and to a large extent they are right.
