Ankur Sabharwal is an actor and a singer/songwriter. In 2021, the music video for one of his songs “Better Man” (from his EP - The Ride) was selected as one of the 10 best music videos from India in 2021 by Rolling Stone magazine. In the video, he plays multiple characters using mime as the theatrical medium. Ankur has been acting and singing on stage since the age of 13 and is a well known voice in the music theatre circles having played leading parts in productions of Grease, West Side Story, Evita, Fame, Hair etc and recently worked with Mira Nair in her Monsoon Wedding Musical in 2019. He’s been the front man for 2 rock and roll bands, Canzona & Gone Fishing before going solo in 2020. He is a regular live performer and session singer having lent his voice for over a hundred jingles for various commercial brands. He has sung for select Bollywood film projects including “Listen Amaya” (2013).
