Welcome to Guilty Words, where we unravel crime, one word at a time. I’m Chris, confirmed word nerd and true crime buff. I’m also a: • professional writer and editor for over 40 years (yup, I’m that old!), • a high school and junior high Language Arts teacher for over 15 years, • and a corporate trainer/instructional designer for the past 6 years (it’s still my day job and I love it!) Thank you for joining me as we take deep dives into the language of accused and convicted criminals to gain clues into their crimes. Looking at their personal writings, texts, and statements, we examine their subject matter, audience, word choice, sentence structure, and more to see what information may hide between the lines. .
