Das Max-Planck-Institut für Dynamik komplexer technischer Systeme in Magdeburg wurde 1996 als erstes ingenieurwissenschaftliches Institut der Max-Planck-Gesellschaft gegründet. Die Forschung fokussiert sich auf neue Methoden für die optimale Gestaltung hochkomplexer Prozesse zur Herstellung von Chemikalien und (Bio)Pharmazeutika sowie für die Wandlung und Speicherung erneuerbarer Energien. Ziel ist es, diese Verfahren kostengünstig, sicher und effizient betreiben zu können. The Max Planck Institute for Dynamics of Complex Technical Systems in Magdeburg is the first engineering institute established by the Max Planck Society in 1996. It performs an important bridging function between fundamental research and industrial application. The research focuses on the investigation and development of new approaches for the synthesis, analysis and control of highly complex processes in biotechnology, chemical production, and energy conversion.
