Leading pan flute player in the nordic countries. Roar Engelberg: started playing the pan flute already at the age of 12. He soon developed into Norways leading pan flutist. As the first professional performer in Scandinavia, he has developed the pan flute into a full-fledged solo instrument. He has performed in a multitude of musical contexts and has held concerts of popular and chamber music, traditional pan flute music from Romania and South America, as well as being a soloist with a number of symphony orchestras. In 1989, he was the first in Western Europe to complete the soloist studies on pan flute at the Amsterdam Hoeghschoole für die Kunsten, where he received the highest attainable grade. He has become known to a wide audience through numerous radio and television appearances and has released 19 solo albums.
