I believe a good lecturer should be energetic and have the ability to motivate his students. The student has to feel enthusiasm of his lecturer through a good relationship. A good lecturer should be flexible, versatile, and his approach must depend on the student’s needs and difficulties. Accessibility and empathy are crucial for following up and listening to students which in turn make the student feel valued. Patience is a key characteristic in the learning process, it will help a lecturer to better understand what specific approach that will work with students. A good lecturer always finds a way to deliver his lecture material. Knowledge and experiences should be shared with students. A good lecturer challenges his students to think, generates curiosity, and links the lecture material to the real world. Being well-prepared, organized, and knowing when to take a discipline action should be assets of a good lecturer to promote positive behaviours and hence promote learning.
