About Jim Fielder

Jim Fielder is perhaps best known for his work as an original member of Blood, Sweat & Tears (1968-1973); however he has a diverse and lengthy musical legacy. Prior to BS&T, he worked with high school classmate Tim Buckley, appearing on Tim's first album in 1966. Jim also played in several other notable bands including Mastin & Brewer with Mike Brewer and Billy Mundi; Frank Zappa and The Mothers of Invention (for whom he played rhythm guitar) and also can be heard on their Absolutely Free album, and Buffalo Springfield in which he not only recorded with them (Buffalo Springfield Again album) but played several live performances. After leaving BS&T, he spent 35+ years as a standing member of Neil Sedaka's touring band.
